Glenn Beck makes more money than Gaga

"Glenn Beck makes more money per year than Lady Gaga, Oprah and Rush Limbaugh.

No joke.

Forbes' annual list of the world's Most Powerful Celebrities, which was published today, has become an annual reminder of just how well Beck is doing out on the ideological fringes of the media industry. Last time around, Beck was making $80 million a year; this year, he's making $90 million. (Limbaugh, by contrast, makes $66 million, down from $69 million.)

"With his website The Blaze, Beck has proven that there is a way to make money with news on the Internet," Forbes editors write. "His site caters to a very specific demographic which is happy to pay $100 per year for access to Beck's online videos. Now the conservative talk-show host is happily taking money from Dish for the satellite company to carry his TV content. Expect wider distribution coming soon."
