(16,993 posts)Surprised there's such a difference between these two cities. A 40-point spread out of a total of 100 seems like a lot for one metro area.
I'm trying to drink more water. It's really supposed to be the best for you, and the price is certainly better (I have a filter at home).

(64,931 posts)what we called it there. When I moved east, no one knew what the fuck I was talking about when I asked for a bottle of pop.
The only thing call soda was something that went in Gin!
I'm actually moving back in the next several weeks.

(2,670 posts)But people complain about restrictions of soda size but think of this the recommended serving of any soda is 8oz or 1 cup. The proposed restriction cutoff was 16oz or 2 cups so thats a double serving. Now think about this at most fast food places their medium isn't 16oz its usually double that so your sitting down to a meal with 4 cups of soda just for yourself. You can easily ingest close to 1000 calories on soda alone in one meal than add say a whopper or a double or even triple whopper to that plus fries. Basically I'm saying is cutting down to just a 16oz soda that bad of an idea.

(9,257 posts)Got a "value meal" at Taco Bell recently and I think it came with a *gallon* of soda! 16 oz is more than plenty for most of us.

(2,670 posts)I don't know why we can't go back to that 8oz small 16oz medium and a 24oz large that way those that feel that they absolutely have to have more than 16oz are happy.

(78,249 posts)because folks down there like to mix some Coke with their rum!
