Both truly revealing and more than a little disturbing. I've heard pieces of it, repeated
and attributed to Zimmerman, but this captures the conversational flow with this officer;
and his whole presentation is so utterly bogus, or it appears that way to me.

George Zimmerman is going to be found guilty. All the evidence you need — all the evidence the cops needed — is right there in the interrogation they did with him three days after the shooting. The only thing more shocking than what Zimmerman says in the clip, which was released on the internet one year ago, is how little it has impressed the bloviating jerks who dominate the coverage of this trial.

Why did he follow Martin, a police officer asks.
“These assholes, they always get away,” Zimmerman answers.

The officer asks, “What’s behind that?”
“These people who victimize the neighborhood,” Zimmerman answers.

In Zimmerman’s angry mind, without trial or jury, even after he killed him and learned he was a 17-year-old who was legitimately staying in the complex, Martin was an "asshole victimizing the neighborhood".

The officer gets a little defensive at this point. “There was an arrest a week ago,” he points out, though it is also a gentle reminder that Zimmerman’s fear might be a tad misplaced. He continues, skeptically. "How was he running?" Zimmerman describes it and the officer says, “Sounds like he was running to get away... you jumped out of car to see which way he was running? That’s not fear … it’s going to be a problem.”

Then Zimmerman whispers something. “What is that you whispered?” the officer asks. “Fucking what?”
“Punks,” Zimmerman says.

An address? This may be the moment that will convict him.

there's a protocol observed at night even more keenly than during the day - you don't come close to people - you steer away - if I see someone moving towards me, SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT

8. I had noticed his demeanor in the court room

I tried shake it off as being biased. He shows no remorse, just sits there...until he stands proudly to be identified by various witnesses. Buttoning and straightening his coat jacket. He looks dispassionately at photographs of TM laying face down in the grass.

His demeanor following the shooting, when he interacted with those he came in contact with..."I had to shoot, it was self defense." like acting a role in a movie as the accused hero. He didn't even look back at the person he just shot. It's hard to say what I would do in that situation, but I believe I would feel remorse having been forced to take a life. I would be shaking myself, having been so close to death. He instead plays his role. Reality challenged?

I can't shake it.

3. They better up their game if they want to win the trial

I was confused as shit watching some of the witness last week. I thought for sure the prosecution has rested, and the defense was calling witnesses because a lot were helping out zimmerman a lot more than they helped the state.

At this point, I am at least 70% confident zimmerman will be found not guilty, unless they have an ace up their sleeve.

At the end of the day, Zimmerman got out of his car and went to Martin, not the other way around. At the end of the day, Martin was unarmed, unaware and just looking to get back to father's girlfriend's house. Zimmerman created a situation where none had existed. That will be the trump card for the whole trial. Zimmerman is guilty.

Because people who actually understand how trials work might not share your expert evaluation.

13. Agreed. It looked like the prosecutor was allowing the defense attorney to

ask questions calling for speculation.

All it takes at the end of the trial is for one juror to remember some of the speculation instead of the facts which the witnesses saw and heard.

It's a way to lose a trial.

16. Ugh. Its the George Zimmerman Trial, Not Trayvon Martin.

Not your fault. I wish the media would get this right. Zimmerman is on trial. Trayvon is dead.
