Black Forest wildfire victim angered by arrest

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Black Forest woman is angry after she lost her home in a wildfire and got arrested on a warrant for a traffic violation.

Marsha McCormack was arrested and handcuffed on June 21 as she sifted through the charred remains of her uninsured trailer.

A license plate device tipped authorities that she was wanted on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court on a traffic-related charge.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette ( http://tinyurl.com/nfdf2cx), the woman was released after her neighbors posted a $446 bail and court fee.

Before or after the fire? That makes all the difference in my opinion.

After reading the Gazette article, it looks like she missed her court appearance last December (2012) .
