About How "liberal" msnbc is...

How can you call yourself liberal, and put a hardcore conservative on every morning? I call bullshit on your network. And how can you also have Rachel Maddow tell all your viewers they're going to prison every Friday night! Don't even joke about that to your audience, fools. Seems like your plan is to strike fear into America's sheep, keep 'em all in line, no wonder your ratings are so low. Really classy, and effective, not. Get a clue.

If a news outlet isn't mirroring the Republican Bubble then it is a leftist agenda organization. Talking heads don't count and I wonder why anyone even listens.

We have the right to a news channel that reinforces all our preconceived biases! Like Fox News!

They have the same regressive conservative view drilled into their viewer's heads every single damn morning. Shame on them.

show, it is an opinion show. Not a newscast. An opinion fest, commentary by pundits, not reporting by journalists. This is a very basic misrepresentation of the nature of the programming being discussed.

He/she is complaining that somehow MSNBC isn't living up to it's "liberal" label.

I think she knows how much liberals hate those shows, so she takes a little jab at the network for putting them on all weekend. How many times have people here at DU complained about that programming? Maybe Rachel reads DU?

But those 'prison shows' and Caught on Camera shows beat Fox in the 25-54 demo, especially later at night, so they aren't likely to go away any time soon.

You can see their 'concern' for all things gee oh pee constantly. Even referring to republicans with those letters shows you care about the establishment first and foremost. Time for things to change.

against the debasing of the national culture by allowing the expansion of commercial tv. It's still relevant today.

As long as RW businesses fund a news program or network you are not going to get anything close to a left perspective on current events. You're lucky if you get something that might qualify as objective.

corporations weave all sorts of reasons to make money.

They target an audience and reap the profit.

the pendulum will eventually swing the other way when it's no longer profitable to target their current audience.

If you believe that Rachel Maddow has a completely free hand to report whatever she wants, then I have a bridge to sell you.

Otherwise, they would probably have swung farther to the right already. If they didn't have a liberal audience, they would be in even worse shape. Their problem now, in my opinion, with hosts like Rachel and Chris Hayes, is that they are too "heavy thinkers" for the average American viewer, including those that call themselves "liberals".

I agree you might be right. On one hand we have elite executives, as always, deciding what to program its audience with, typically protestant values, work hard, fear God, don't have too much fun, etc. On the other the nerds, who might lessen the audience we all need to restore the middle class.
