Koch Industries is Paying for Zimmerman's Legal Fees

Got this email today from a friend who lives in Maryland. I don't know if it is true or not but this is now being passed around a lot as I just got it from a second friend who lives in another part of the country. I heard on the news yesterday that the defense attorney took no fee and defended the killer for free. I have suspected someone with rich pockets who wanted the not guilty Zimmerman outcome to secretly fund his defense attorney. At first I thought it was the NRA now I get this email that says it was the Kochs. But whether it's true or not a lot of black people will now know not to buy Koch products. To which I say good.

From School Commissioner Anthony Hamilton, City of Baltimore Public Schools...

In the wake of the senseless killing of Trayvon Martin ... "The company known as Koch" which manufactures paper products is sponsoring and paying for Zimmerman's legal fees because they feel he had legal right to bare arms and shoot Trayvon we are asking that people everywhere ban together and pass this information on and not purchase any of the following items because your money will be paying for Zimmerman's lawyers and legal fees. Please do not purchase any of the following items: Angel soft toilet paper, Brawny paper towels, Dixie plates, bowls, napkins & cups, Mardi gras napkins and paper towels, Quilted northern toilet paper, Soft and gentle toilet paper, Sparkle napkins/paper towels, Vanity fair napkins.

Please Fwd this Very Important information to All of your Family and Friends.

In KOCHs official statement about the issue they do not confirm or deny paying for Zimmerman's defense. In fact they don't bring it up. They just say that they do not and never have supported the stand you ground law. -but this is misleading, because they fund a company called ALEC which lobbies for the stand your ground law in 27 states. ... And if they did not pay for Zimmerman's defense, surely they would say so in their official statement.

As for snoopes, they reported that Bush did not sign the Nafta agreement, and later changed it. They also had true in response to if Obama is a Muslim, and later changed it. Please do not think just because you read it on snoopes that its true.

Here's a list of stuff to avoid like the plague:

I noticed that Snopes says the claim is false, but we do know the Koch Brothers are up to no good in so many other ways. I don't buy anything that would put money in their greedy pockets, and other progressives shouldn't either.

13. From your link, Koch's support ALEC and ALEC is responsible for the SYG law

***snip***

Well, Linda, I have no idea why you say that. I view Trayvon Martin's murder as criminal. We can thank ALEC (funded and supported by the Kochs) for Florida's "stand your ground" law, the nature of which was included in instructions to the jurors and which the jurors considered as part of their deliberations.

Please direct your outrage at ALEC.
or at Florida's politicians Republicans AND Democrats
or at Florida's voters
or at the Kochs

...and hit the streets on Labor Day!

works for Democrat ideas. I am going to do more research to see what their other products are and buy others. They are behind the Keystone pipeline to get the product to the Gulf Coast refinery they own.

In KOCHs official statement about it they do not mention Zimmerman at all but keep saying they don't support the stand your ground law. But this is misleading, KOCH funds a company that lobbies for the law in 27 states. So they don't directly do the dirty work, but they do the dirty work. Also, I'm thinking they would say that they did not fund Zimmerman's defense if they didn't. But their official statement makes no mention of it. I have found snoopers to be wrong on more than one occasion.
