Today while working at the free dinner my church serves every Tuesday,

I had to tell a little kid he had to wait 1/2 hour to ask for seconds because we're never sure how many are coming and don't serve seconds before 6PM.

So a little kid had to wait 1/2 hour for another hot dog and more baked beans.

We're seeing a lot more kids since school let out - no breakfasts or lunches!

I guess Republicans feel that kid should go out and get a minimum wage job if he wants to eat!

A lot of the other people are pensioners with limited budgets and folks who can't work because of disabilities.

Have they not read the NT at all? Just mind boggling.

A society can be measured by how it treats its frailest (most vulnerable) members.

I think a person can be measured by how s/he treats those less fortunate then her/him.

for lending a helping hand. We know the food is there - it's the distribution that makes the difference.
