A progressive group will make a push this August to stir up trouble for Republicans when they return to their home districts and participate in local events and town halls. The group Americans United for Change is launching a website called Accountable Congress to alert progressive activists to when Republicans will be holding events in their area. Upcoming targets include Chris Christie, Ted Cruz and Peter King.
Brad Woodhouse, the president of the group, says that though in the past the idea has been to stealthily confront Republican lawmakers at town halls, sometimes its been too stealth, and we havent generated enough activity. He added: Since everyone knows that both sides are doing this, were going to be public-facing about it.

(9,610 posts)They are sick people. They are "primitives", vile and filled with extreme hatred. They can not logically argue their points, so they attack with baiting language and when that fails they threaten and pursue violence.

(9,006 posts)I absolutely plan on attending any Town Halls set up by my House Rep Ted Poe and both of our idiot Senators, Ted Cruz and Tom Cornyn. A couple of friends plan on attending with me.
Ted's website is (surprise!) all fucked up and won't let me register with it. Haven't checked Cruz or Cornyn yet.
I'm sick of this GOP crap.
