Do you Trust this President and Congress to Overhaul Corporate Taxes

In No Way do I trust them to Represent the Interest of the Working Class Americans when it comes to Overhauling the Corporate Tax Code

The "Deal Sweeteners" already being floated out of Washington are cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and a Roll Back of Home Mortgage Interest Deductions.

The majority of the American Public believes the drivel we have a "Progressive Tax Rate" on personal income which simply isn't true. Families making as little as $130K once deductions are figured in will pay a LOWER Rate of taxation then families making as little as $50K annually. Millionaires as Mittens so eloquently demonstrated pay even less.

Now Consider the Corporate Tax Code, which through numerous special deductions and Tax Avoidance Strategies provides financial incentives to outsource American Jobs to China. Allows Mega-Profitable Multinational Corporations such as Apple, Google, and GE pay little or NO Taxes at all.

A Corporation can move all their assets offshore to avoid Taxation, and receive a Tax Credit for doing it.., but if you or me wanted to move our Hard Earned 401K Savings offshore so we could retire in a place where we could afford Healthcare then we would have to pay Capitol Gains on that money.

Sorry Folks - but my message to President Obama on this one is "Thanks but No Thanks"

After he caved on every issue of the ACA which would have actually benefited Working Class Families - "Thanks but No Thanks"

After they gave nothing but Lip Service to saving Millions of Families going through foreclosure - "Thanks but No Thanks"

After allowing Wall St. Banks to walk Scott Free after Trashing the Economy and even Rewarded them with $Trillions in QE1, QE2, and now QE3 - "Thanks but No Thanks"

Sorry - but any thing that would come out of this Group of Corporate Thugs would be merely "Lipstick on a Pig"

Because even if the President gets exactly what he says he wants, a lower rate but fewer loopholes so revenue actually goes up, what happens next?

Immediately corporations send their lobbyists out to throw money at politicians to buy new loopholes, and before you know it we have all the old loopholes back being taken out of a lower rate.

Unless they can find a way to put a provision in the law that prevents forever new loopholes this plan is just going to end up in a few years giving corps a lower rate with all the loopholes they can buy.

Look at how a few simple Loopholes have moved Millions of Good Paying Middle Class Jobs to China and beyond.

I absolutely Cringe when I think of what they might do next

otherwise not so much....

As much as Sanders fights for Working Families he would end up throwing in the towel in disgust at what would be on the table.

The "Secret Suggestion Box" is going to work both ways. I'm betting the box will be over stuffed with ideas that are so very destructive to Middle Class Families, and Huge Give-Aways to Corporations which America can't possibly afford

on any issue-If it points in the direction of helping Country/Economy/Us? It Will fail.

There's "always" just enuf Dems to let whatever pass/fail by "jest enuf" votes.

I used to "blind" trust Dems until I started reviewing their votes on the big issues...

I expect also that the loss of revenue will come out of working class hides via a loss of tax credits and cuts to our earned benefits such as entitlements. Mostly because they are negotiating along those lines.

I have ZERO trust in them to do what is right.

Only a handful in Congress and the Executive Branch actually give a damn about the people the rest are only in it for themselves and helping their 1% pals which is who they really work for. Sure they do a good acting job making it SEEM like they are working for you but they are not.

Actions and deeds are the real story, fancy speeches are just that fancy speeches to placate the masses. Sadly the fancy speeches work and are good enough for many.

...you're not gonna get a budget yet alone any tax reform. NOTHING short of blowing up the IRS will appease the teabaggers who now control the House. Any attempt to bargain will also fail as rushpublicans will never vote for any revenue increases and even won't vote for a modest tax cut...they're out to make the government as dysfunctional as possible...

Unfortunately the "overhaul" will do exactly the opposite of what needs to be done, but I trust they will do so without fail.
