1. GIve the man credit where credit is due -

1. Do the big networks want to give free time to covering the Republican primary debates? Instead of facing the humiliation of the networks not being interested, he makes it seem to be his choice to withhold permission.

2. Does he want people to see the disaster that is the current Republican party? Look at the likely line-up of candidates and imagine them in prime time.

3. He may be successful at blackmailing the networks and keeping the biopics off the air.

4. He may be gambling that the biopics have unflattering moments, and is ensuring that they air by seeming to oppose them.
