Has anyone received an email from Adobe Acrobat urging you to change your password due to a security breach. I am always a bit leery about these types of emails.

1. PHISH!

Go to Adobe.com and see if there is anything there.

ALSO, there is a new malware that pops on your desktop telling you to update Acrobat Reader. Always go to the domain or the open app to update.

5. If you're ever confronted with one you think might be legit

close the email and go to the site without using the link. Any alerts will be on the site. Never use a link in an email if it is asking anything about your password or other personal information.

If there is nothing on the website, go back to the email and forward it to [e-mail].

6. It's not phishing, it is legitimate. Adobe's security was breached.

News reports came out a few days ago. A couple million passwords were stolen, and they don't know how much financial information yet.
