The reason to raise the debt ceiling is to pay currently authorized obligations . It isn't to allow for new debt to be created.

Which is what this lame meme is suggesting.

Do you understand the debt ceiling?

7. I thought you were suggesting it be raised to spend more money

which can just be printed

I think if we just stopped that ridiculous war in Afghanistan that would be a great start in taming the money woes
