Where is the greatest threat to your well being coming from?

Wondering if DUers see things differently than Fox news viewers.

So what were the 'Foxite's' results?

4. Immediately, or long-term?

Long-term the greatest threat comes from the inadequacy of not just the US but world governments in addressing the issues of climate change, food security, adequate water supplies and sustainable energy. But most people can't be bothered to worry about things whose effects and consequences are 20 or 30 years down the road.

All sources are interconnected.

The billionaires, the giant corporations, the privatizers: the capitalists; the fascists and religious fascists; the public school and teacher haters, the haters of labor, of the old, the poor, the women...

39. The greatest threat to us all is our fundamentally unsustainable way of living

The fossil fuel based economy: Our well being is largely dependent on our ability to extract petrochemical resources.

The constant war model of geopolitics:

The rapid expansion of the surveillance state:

Resource domination: The vast majority of the world's resources are controlled by a tiny cabal of wealthy people.

42. I posted this poll, wondering how close we all are in our 'world view'....

And we are amazingly focused on where the main problem is. (US corporations & the billionaires) Of course I agree with some who felt there are other important items I didn't include, but I wanted it to be 'to the point'. With the talk of a negotiated Trans Pacific 'free trade' bill about to be announced, the rumors are it will be done in favoring the corporations being able to override our constitutional laws. I'm glad to be at a place where we all share a view on where our enemies are. Thanks to all who took this time to answer your choices.

43. My neighbors?

They randomly fire their guns at who knows what. I never know who is firing the guns. I just know I hear them randomly at the damnedest times.

Otherwise, it's between U.S. Corporations and U.S. billionaires who are right wing. I feel no threat from someone like Ted Turner, but some of the others who support right wing policies are a threat. I just wish I could match them dollar for dollar, in the opposite direction, toward liberal policies and practices.
