Sarah Palin’s Advice on Syria: ‘Let Allah Sort it Out’

http://kysdc.com/3107803/sarah-palins-advice-on-syria-let-allah-sort-it-out/?omcamp=scribol&utm_source=hexagram.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=hexagram.com

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin seems to have an endless supply of inappropriate and ignorant comments when it comes to politics, and her latest comments do not disappoint.

While speaking at the annual meeting of the Faith and Freedom Coalition Saturday, Palin criticized President Obama and his decision to intervene with the fighting in Syria.

“We’re talking now more, new interventions, I say until we know what we’re doing, until we have a commander in chief who knows what he’s doing … well, in these radical Islamic countries aren’t even respecting basic human rights, when both sides are slaughtering each other as they scream over an arbitrary red line, Allahu Akbar, I say until we have someone who knows what they’re doing, I say: Let Allah sort it out.”

This past Thursday President Obama agreed to supply military support to Syrian rebels after intelligence agencies confirmed the Syrian military had used chemical weapons on its people. The use of weapons like the nerve agent sarin crossed the ‘red line’ necessary to trigger American involvement, said the president.

From July, but this is the first I've heard of it.

He almost started World War III.

Mike Wimer should have never been an instructor, and he's the guy who singlehandedly ensured no one under the rank of Staff Sergeant will ever stand on a podium again. (The reason for this is thread-locking, so let's just say it's a pretty good story and leave it at that.) This is also the asshole who decided, unilaterally, that bringing a drug dog through the barracks every single day was a bit on the excessive side...so he went downtown, bought a bottle of opium oil, and mixed it into a five-gallon can of liquid floor wax. Then he started passing around quarts of this concoction to his buddies in other units.

He was stationed in Panama in the 1970s, and was assigned to a platoon that did telephone monitoring. There were US bases on both sides of the canal, Mike was stationed on the north side and the base they were going to fuck with was located on the south side. So off they go to a barge to go down the canal. Naturally, he thought it was a good idea to take a case of beer with them. About halfway between the two bases, they passed a Soviet spy ship and decided to wave at it with upraised middle finger. The Soviets responded with upraised AKM rifles...lots of 'em.

5. Stop paying attention to her and (hopefully), she'll go away.

Sarah Palin is a pinhead. It doesn't matter what she thinks or says.

I think that the best thing that we can do is stop giving her attention.

Obviously, my advice isn't easy to follow, since I just paid attention to her by posting in this thread. I'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again.

9. In an inflamatory way she seems to be arguing against US intervention.

While she is coming from an Islamophobic, ODS place (and speaking in her usual 'hate is good' soundbite style), the sentiment to 'let them fight it out, there is nothing we can do' is not unknown in non-Islamophobic, ODS folks.
