The Christie/wildstein boyhood friend angle is dead ... they weren't friends. The Kelly angle is not as tight as suspected ... she was widely seen as a straight player.

Wildstein is going to testify, if given immunity.

This is likely to fall onto Samson and clearly points to Christie knowing and possibly having approved the bridge closure.

Even if he found out belatedly I cannot accept he did not know before this blew up in his face. It's pretty plain for all to see SOMETHING happened. We my not have all the details yet; there may be some serious conclusion jumping along the way but SOMETHING is rotten in Denmark.

And yet, I can't find myself getting exercised over this. I sincerely hope his national political aspirations are ruined but I don't think his governorship is in serious jeopardy. None of his presumed political allies are defending him but I think he manages to squeak out the rest of his term.

I'm sorry but I just don't trust politicians to hold other politicians to account and Christie is a relatively fast thinker (he's no Bush or Palin) so he'll weasel through.
