(25,927 posts)New Hampshire's 'worst' characteristic is the highest corporate tax rate (although the article points out that the state ranks 8th in favorable business climate), and New Jersey for the highest personal taxes paid - nevermind that these taxes pay for some of the best-developed infrastructure in the country. I sense a decidedly anti-tax sentiment in the criteria used to define 'worst.'

(543 posts)Oklahoma seems to have the worst tornadoes and the most per acre. Texas has more, but that's only because it's larger.
Is Ma Barker responsible for Oklahoma's female criminals ranking?

It's a problem of population and geography. Call it shame and you might as well call Alaska's shame "cold."
And what's with New Mexico, another place I've lived... "Anti-Social?" I suppose if you are an Arizona or Texas white racist it does seem that way...
Seems like whoever was making this map started out drunk and just got drunker. Pretty soon he was just pulling stuff out of his ass.

(2,547 posts)In all the years of people stating what topic Florida was 'worst' in, I don't ever recall reading a post that mentioned identity theft.
I can see about 8-10 'labels' assigned to other states, that were used to describe Florida at one point or another. (How did Iowa get "oldest state"?) Identity theft almost seems like a step up.

(5,141 posts)Besides, we have a great public transportation system in the greater NY Metro area which is virtually nonexistent in LA (yes I am aware of the fact that they have a light rail system
which no one takes).
It would take me 1.5 hours to get 25 miles on the 110 every day, no matter what time of day I went to the office.

(45,319 posts)Weekday ridership is around 200,000 with another 150K on the Red and Purple lines which are heavy rail, not light. Daily rail ridership in LA Metro area is about 365,000 people, or as we say in English, no one.
dorkzilla
(5,141 posts)have a daily ridership of approximately 600,000. This does not include the NYC Transit system subways or buses which has a DAILY RIDERSHIP OF OVER 5 MILLION PASSENGERS. Or as we say in English, pretty much everyone.
