General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI think it is ridiculous that folks on TV, CNN right now, are talking about Christie's 'brand' ...
... and how he can fix it, how he can 'make' folks think he is trustworthy, what he needs to do to run in 2016, etc.
It's too early to be even talking about any of that this early in the investigation process.
That segment really pissed me off.
The media needs to stay focused on what has happened and keep asking scandal related questions - instead of trying to move on!

(3,447 posts)It's the commodification of the world. From your favorite water, to your favorite music, to your favorite politician, you are nothing but a stack of brand loyalties. When people began to get behind the name rather than the individual idea, when they group everything into the biggest, easiest-to-attack labels, and stratify everything behind quick little memes and mnemonics, the marketers collect their accolades and your loyalty is bought and sold.
There are all kinds of pernicious brandings going on, and many of them are so low-key as to be almost undetectable.

(16,931 posts)and has been for more than a decade. They would love Christie to win in 2016, and will go to the mat for him. He could be as good as the chimp, who they also cheerleaded big time for.
