http://www.politico.com/story/2014/01/paul-ryan-war-on-poverty-failed-102001.html#ixzz2q9DGr0pQThe GOP has purposely increased inequality over the last 30 years. Over the last 5 they have done much to stop employment. Now they claim social programs don't work. What Bull****! They cause something bad to happen and then they try and get people to judge the victims, denying their major part in the current reality. They know some folk will generalize, ignore the specifics, and believe it. Psychopathic.

(13,485 posts)This is the way the GOP have done business for over 30 years. Mass projection of their own sins on those who have had the answers and the plan. It's their purpose and their long range plan to destroy all things that are in the interest of the middle class and distribution of wealth. They want to take us back to the America of 1900 where the mega wealthy families ruled the destitute working classes and politics and the courts were completely corrupted by business interests. Sounds like it's that way already, but we're not nearly that far yet.

(1,523 posts)The reason the war on poverty fail is that the Republicans have been trying to kill it ever since its inception 50 years ago. It is especially noticeable if you look at poverty between the states the Republicans control and the Democrats control. The Republicans have been blocking many of the funds intended for poor people in their states claiming states rights.
