Comparing real wages, economic values from 1977 to

2013. I hear the corporate fat cats whine when the prospect of $10.00 hr is mentioned. they say "oh but this will cripple our economy"
Well research shows the actual min. wage should be over $12.00 when compared to $2.30 Fed. minimum wage of 1977.

"If you want to compare the value of a $2.30 Commodity in 1977 there are four choices. In 2012 the relative: "
real price of that commodity is $8.71
real value of that commodity is $8.99
labor value of that commodity is $7.94(using the unskilled wage) or $8.73(using production worker compensation)
income value of that commodity is $12.60

http://www.measuringworth.com/ppowerus/

Use this to calculate the amount and year and insert the year you want to compare it to.
I also used the current min wage to compare also:

In 2012, the relative value of $7.72 from 2000 ranges from $9.90 to $12.20.

So my question is,when radical Koch Bros owned Republicans like Rand Paul try to sell the idea that increasing the minimum wage will cripple the economy, where the hell are the Democrats with their arguments. OH they have made a little noise but have failed to provide the real facts to show the public
they mean business when increasing the minimum wage.

I hear non union (young workers) talk about how "liberals" are at fault for everything that's wrong with our economy.
I remember setting in elementary school(1956) talking about U S history and remember talking about a foreign industry that wanted to open a plant in Wisconsin and the debate then within Congress was should it be allowed ..It was denied. What if only?.

was when I entered the work force full time, as an adult. I made 3.35 an hour and had my own apartment, could afford booze, smokes and dope. Didn't want a car back then and don't want one now.
