Do I think Christie is done as Guv? Probably not. Do I think he'll ever be president? No.

And I think he realizes this too. Which is why, some time next year, maybe even this year, he will tell everyone he has no interest in seeking the presidency. I think he realizes there are a million other skeletons in that closet, and, as we saw with the 2012 Republican Primary, his own party ain't afraid to rip open that door and look through it. If he runs, everything will come out and that should terrify him.

He'll finish up his tenure as New Jersey's governor (that is, if it doesn't come out that he knew - at that point he would have to resign), but he won't run for president.

At least, I don't think so.

I am salivating over the commercials I can make cutting scenes from Christies' presser. The self pity, the professed ignorance and the protestation against being a bully lend themselves to a series of devastating ads. His hopes for the presidency are over.
