What the extension of subpoena power in NJ tells us...

When the Christie-friendly Dem leader of the NJ senate extended the existing committee subpoena power, here is what we learned.

This scandal is big enough that the Christie-friendly Dem leader of the NJ senate would not have been able to control his caucus if he didn't extend subpoena power.

So, thanks to relentless scandal coverage and the full appearance of serious bad stuff having gone on, we got the majority of the Dem senate caucus, at least for the moment, on the Dem side of the thing.

Baby steps.

Also, the rubber-stamp approval of a new NJ attorney general whose deputy gave the traffic shut-down order has been put on hold.
