that reaches beyond policy differences. It is for a response to a right winger.
1. Kept Congress in session to avoid recess appointments even though legislators had gone on break.
2. Congressmen participated on the steps of the Capitol with a rightwing hate group rally.

(36,974 posts)Senate Republicans have delayed/obstructed/prevented/filibustered tons of judicial and administration appointments.
South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson (R) yelled out "You lie!" interrupting President Obama while he was giving a speech in The U.S. House.
GOP Senators and House members lie on TV everyday about Obama and his administration - including pushing several NON-scandals.
Republican Minority leader, Mitch McConnell said, "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president,"

(45,251 posts)There are so many things the House has done. How about all the utterly pointless votes on the ACA?

(45,251 posts)both parts of that claim.
Which laws does he claim Obama has broken?
Which responses from the right does he claim are maintaining the dignity of the Constitution and how are they doing that?
To use my example of about pointless votes, Congress passed Obamacare and Obama signed it. That is how the Constitution says laws get passed. So, which law got broken?
The Supreme Court upheld the mandate, though not the Medicaid part. Obama made no attempt to implement the part of Obamacare that the Supreme Court struck down. So, again, no law was violated. Yet, the Republican house has taken about 40 votes to repeal Obamacare, knowing full well that repeal will not pass the Senate. What a waste of time and taxpayer money! Maybe your friend can explain how that fits his accusations.
In the end, though, I find it's like trying to argue with pudding.
