I get it now

I was wondering WTF the GOP was doing, throwing away moderate voters with this anti-woman shit.

Then it hit me.

This isn't some big misogynist thing (although the natural misogynists are having a field day with this), at least not ultimately.

It's about cheap labor.

I always come back to this link to remind myself why the GOP does ANY of the shit they pull. It's a post from 2007 by Conceptual Guerilla called the "Cheap Labor Conservatives Issues Guide"
http://www.conceptualguerilla.com/?q=node/16
And it's premise still holds out - that nearly EVERYTHING conservatives do, their ultimate goal is - you guessed it, cheap labor.

But anyways - I understand what all the Ultrasound and transvaginal probe nonsense is about. They're making the women PAY for this, remember?
They want to make abortion for lower income women so expensive, they'll keep reproducing. And ditto for getting birth control. Not for you, poor woman....

And poor babies with poor educations grow up to be good convenience store workers or janitors. Or soldiers.

Social mobility is EXACTLY what the 1% DON'T need right now for their long range plans. So, do all this in an election year that doesn't matter. Like 2012.

1. That's what it's always been about. Mainly to provide cannon fodder. And, BTW:

The 1% do not believe in the morality play that's being served up here. They never have.

They are not subject to these laws, were able to get abortions and birth control before they were made available to the lower classes. There was a period in the sixties and seventies when the rights of the poor and middle class were bubbling up.

These were people who wanted more control over their lives. The Koches and other one percenters decided to influence the people with their default contol mechanism, religion, racism, etc. Example being the rise of televangelism and Reagan, and the rest of them.

Now their lackeys are taking every form of control back for them, denying access to healthcare, voting and jobs in addition to this. It keeps the poor running in circles and desperate.

These games are for increasing the number of the poor, who are being set at each other's throats by the propagandists of the GOP.

Voltaire made a statement on this particular societal phenomenon over two centuries ago. Nothing has changed in that time.

“The comfort of the rich depends upon an abundant supply of the poor.” -Voltaire

Some things never change, despite seemingly major social progress. And until things like this get fixed, it's an endless cycle.

3. I agree with you. Right wing males are fundamentally anti-woman

And right wing females remind me of a female married to someone in my family, who absolutely hates football (I found this out for a fact) but pretends to adore it just to get in the good graces of her husband, and goes around saying that she doesn't understand those women who don't love football.

You've got to give them credit. Only a conservative could figure out how to make money from crime by profiting from the justice system itself.

7. Bingo. Also rolling back women's rights will roll back/stop equal pay for equal work legislation.

8. George Carlin said that too in this classic "Pro-Life is Anti-Woman" clip:

Unless, Gingrich can get more American children to work for free! err, I mean, unless Gingrich can get the kiddies to learn the value of work (for no wages).
