If you're "weak", you're out of luck. A person's sole purpose is to serve the state and upper classes, which is usually through war.

There are no armies of lobbyists standing up for them in Congress. Lots of lipservice but that's about it.

People who are living on welfare and OASDI spend just about every cent they have as soon as they receive it. They're spending it on something every single month and therefore someone is making money from them--landlords, supermarkets, WalMart's, whatever. Therefore, cuts to their benefits will cost those people money.

However, obviously, they'd rather see some of poor die of illness or exposure or lack of nutrition than pay taxes that go to welfare or other services. So, it's a question of priorities.

It's not from the State (they just do what they're told.)

It sure as hell ain't from the Market.

That leaves... the Church! Wait - what has that new Pope been saying?

How the republicans will screw the poor at every opportunity but when it comes to corporate welfare going to RICH corporations or protecting the ridiculously low taxes the RICH pay, they will fight to the death to prevent them from losing a penny of their welfare or paying a penny more in taxes. Actually I find this disgusting.

14. For me, the questions are not why, but what, where and when.

For years, we've been doing things that have not gotten us where we want to be.

As the saying goes, "One definition of insanity is repeating the same behavior while expecting a different result. "

I want a different result.

So, what are we going to do that is different from what we have been relying on so far? Where do we begin? When do we begin?
