Pasco couple said they also had texting run-in with Curtis Reeves

WESLEY CHAPEL - It was an image of a smiling Curtis Reeves Jr. that forced Jamira Dixon off the road Monday.

Curiosity got the best of her while she was driving. She had read accounts earlier in the day of a shooting at Cobb Grove 16 Theatre in Wesley Chapel that left 43-year-old Chad Oulson mortally wounded. She wanted to see what the man arrested by Pasco Sheriff's Office deputies looked like.

The photo, a smiling Facebook picture of Reeves, came over her phone.

"It sent chills down my spine and I had to pull the car over," Dixon said Wednesday night from her home in Wesley Chapel. "I knew who it was. It was that person I had an encounter with.''

Or one that you know you're going to be sitting at for at least a couple cycles?

I didn't read the article, but "driving" doesn't always mean actually driving down the road.

And know, I haven't ever checked Facebook during those times that I can recall, but I have looked briefly at my phone for one reason or another. I guess if FB was open when it shut down and I logged in and there it was ....

Just saying maybe it isn't as awful as it sounds.

...why would anyone get bent out of shape over someone else texting?

Texting is relatively quiet. You might have some slight tapping noises or maybe a tiny "swooshing" send sound, but, compared with those rude asses who talk at the top of the lungs to everyone on their contacts lists, it's a far better choice.

I guess I'm not understanding how this could be THAT annoying to someone else.

in a very dark theater. That is distracting. Not death-penalty-level, but a wee bit anyway.

have thought of that and it probably wouldn't distract me.

But, maybe that's what it was.
