"Obamacare" still needs some promotion...or something

I was part of a rather surreal exchange with a FB friend last night. She's an actual friend, just one I haven't seen in several years. She's changed her name, I'm assuming related to posts from a few years ago wherein she let us all know that she'd lost her job, her home, everything. Anyway, she went on a tirade about what bullshit Obamacare was, because she tried to get health insurance and the company wanted $285 a month for it! She ranted that she was totally broke with zero income and now she'd have to pay $285 she doesn't have and they won't sign her up for free Medicaid (she's 54 or 55, not sure).

Here's where it gets "fun." I asked her about using the exchange to see if she qualifies for exemptions or subsidies. She informed us that not using any stupid exchange. Oh, and she lives in Florida. Several of her fellow Floridians pointed out to her that their illustrious governor Rick Scott had opted her out of the Medicaid explanation -- sorry, not Obama's fault. Her tirade continued, though.

"Where did I blame Obama?!"

Another (not me, I tried to out of this one) pointed out that she used the term 'Obamacare' and frequently posts about how much she hates him and other GOP rants. She finally let us know, despite it being kind of relevant in the first place, that she was given some sort of "stupid exemption form." She was quite upset that after apply for health insurance and getting a quote for $285/mo that NOW Obama is making her fill out an exemption form! Stupid Obama! Obamacare is bullshit! She's broke, unemployed and pushing 55, but is being "forced" to fill out a FORM!

It was again pointed out to her that the form exempted her from the ACA requirements, or she could get her rate subsidized. But she wanted none of it. It's stupid Obama!

The stupid is thick among the haters. Is there something in Florida's water?
