Muse said he needed more information on the town's claims of economic harm that would be caused by limiting the turbines operation or shutting them down outright. He also wants more information from the Andersons about the harm directly caused by the continuing operation of the turbines.

What a shame, meanwhile fossil fuel generation enjoys zero complaints by these citizens.

How convenient.

There are recommended setbacks for wind turbines to avoid problems like this and in many localities, they're required by law. Typically, the setbacke are at least 500 feet and requirements as high as 1000 feet are not unusual. If the town didn't have enough land and took a screw the neighbors attitude, they deserve to be shut down.

and the second project is not generating power either due to ironically (and known to residents) lack of winds.

But these days I refuse to post anything that has to do with this. I just (and I am not religious) pray that we do not have a turbine fire in the middle of a Santa Anna.

I am aware that wind does kill wildlife, mainly bats and birds. However I feel it is the lesser of evils. Solar is not the best up here, especially in winter. But I'll take wind over coal, nuclear, natural gas, etc...

and recently one of the guys doing all the bird studies showing less bird takes was convicted of fraud in his reports of... bird takes. But I refuse to post that here. It is like a religion that wind has no down sides.

Like all technologies, it has it's down sides.

I've helped recover from four of them. They cause major destruction.
