Salt Lake's air quality is one of the worst in the nation. It's nasty - especially in winter - and it's a growing problem. For years, the state has done nothing but build and build and build, develop sprawling suburbs and oil refineries that pollute the air. Finally, Salt Lakers and Utahns are taking action - demanding change.

Yes. Which is already a problem, since Utah is the 2nd driest state in the country.

A drought disaster was declared for parts of the state about a week ago. It's been very dry, and very cold, the last couple months. Our snow levels are very low compared to the average.
