GOP proposes new improved Obamacare by bringing back preexisting conditions

http://newsok.com/sen.-tom-coburn-co-sponsors-obamacare-replacement/article/3927748

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Muskogee, and two of his Republican colleagues have offered a plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act and replace it with health coverage incentives focused on the tax code.

The plan would reinstate some of the protections of Obamacare. People could stay on their parents’ insurance policies until age 26; insurance companies couldn’t put lifetime caps on payouts; and, under some circumstances, people with preexisting conditions couldn’t be denied coverage.

However, Obamacare’s mandates on individuals and businesses to buy or provide coverage would be eliminated; instead, people without employer-based insurance would be given tax credits to purchase coverage.

The Medicaid expansion would be repealed, and states would get more flexibility to reform their programs.

...it's THREE Republicans. They've had years to come up with a Republican alternative. The fact that they haven't says something about how important the issue is other than as a political point.
