Hannity Proposes 'Adopt-A-Woman' Program For Birth Control Coverage

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/hannity-birth-control-adopt-a-woman

snip

Hannity asked why people like Huckabee were accused of "waging a war on women" when discussing birth control.

"Why are people accused of waging a war on women in they don't want to pay for their birth control, which is inexpensive?" he asked.

When the caller argued that many women cannot afford birth control, Hannity proposed a new way to provide birth control for women in need.

"Why don't women like yourself, then, maybe have an adopt-a-woman birth control program?" he asked, proposing a privatized system to provide coverage for birth control.

As a woman this reminds me a lot of men who like to take total control of women's bodies.

then there would be less of a need for abortions. It seems like Repugs should embrace the birth control aspect of ACA.

It's about control.

Women with birth control have control. These men can't stand that.

Those are dog whistles. It's really about keeping women in their place and stripping them of their power.

Anti-Birth control = "We control who you have sex with."

Pro-Life = "We control your body"

Anti-Feminist / Traditionalist = "Keep women out of the workplace and at home"

And so on. Once you get what they really mean, it makes perfect sense. Everything is done to bolster a white male establishment.

Procreation. I don't know who died and bestowed the right for Republicans to control our bedrooms. When they talk about too much government it is way too much. They want forced births and make sure they withdraw food stamps and continuous attempts to repeal ACA.

When he says something idiotic, ignorant and hurtful about his mother, wife, sister, or daughter, we give him a sharp swat across the snout with a rolled up newspaper.

It would do all the male idiots a world of good.

has this guy priced BCP's lately? OMG...for someone making minimum wage they are definitely cost prohibitive!

according to Planned Parenthood they can be between $15 to $50 a month...

a slippery slope. Letting women decide what they can do with their bodies. Some men want that control. God damn the woman who wants to have a career go or go to school or whatever.

Fuck sean.

Hannity is a disingenuous turd...I never cease to be amazed that anyone believes a word out of this guy's mouth.

The problem with guys like Hannity/Limbaugh/Beck is they sell advertising, they don't actually care about their message.

If they could sell more advertising with a pro contraception care message they would...they have a small audience they cater to and he makes a good living mouthing words for that audience.

Hannity is a man without character or soul and it shows every day. But in a nation of 350 million, 1 million idiots watching his show shouldn't surprise anyone...one third of one percent is hardly a national movement...and one third of one percent of any population group is always going to be a little sketchy in their cognitive abilities.
