As a hardcore pacifist, radical environmentalist, and socialist, that's how I rate U.S.A. itself.

The natural gas and military pandering made me cringe.

But I have to grade on a curve, where clowns like Boehner, sitting there like his hemorrhoids were on fire, would get an "F."

Dianne Feinstein is my "C" level.

I have to judge Obama in that context. I can't flunk the whole class.

I'm glad he mentioned most of the things I agree with him on and not on things like the Trans-Pacific Trade Agreement. Thought it was his most progressive SOTU yet.

... but damn, Obama is a brilliant politician and competent U.S.A. president.

Such a refreshing change from Bush and his puppet-masters.
