My father picked himself up by his bootstraps. Not.

He was in the Air Force during Korea and had the G.I. bill to help him in college later on. Before that he was dirt poor, but like a lot of American like him he wasn't kicked to the curb by heartless GOPigs spouting bullshit and offshoring every job they can.

He probably wouldn't have made it as far today as he had in the 50s-60s.

Our leaders don't really give a shit about us.

So fuck the bootstrap analogy.

no one makes one red cent without the benefit of somebody else.

This woman may have saved her money but she had to get that money from somewhere. someone had to educate her, a college had to exist for her to go too. No body does it alone. And repugs destroy our society trying to act like we should have this all by myself belief

Trouble is the message is still the same anti-government cliches' and platitudes, complete with bullish bravado that comes off as nothing more than style over substance. Toss in a heavy nod toward theocracy meeting corporate libertarianism and tell me just how original is this? Same shit, different day. If she fails, they'll just find a new face and trot out the same ideas.

We see what an impotent government gets you...FUCKING POLLUTED water you goddamn ass.

Remember when Bobby Jindal was a rising star? How about Rubio? Both of them embarrassed themselves pretty badly responding to Obama speeches, and not just in the eyes of us Democrats. I didn't watch tonight's reply but it sounds like she is definitely in the "memorably bad" category.
