I bet few people from the South ever heard the phrase "hooky-bobbin'"

It was something I grew up doing but don't ever hear anyone doing it any more...It is grabbing hold of the rear bumper of a car and let then pull you along while sliding in the snow with just your shoes. Every kid in alaska knows the term I am fairly certain..

western Nebraska, and since we had no hills to sled down, we hooky-bobbed by hooking our hands onto car bumpers and using the cars as bobsleds!

until the driver turned down the wrong road(in the country). Steep hill on one side, steeper hill on the other side. We walked home that night!

Two things I always said to them in the winter, look out for the moose and don't let me catch you "hooky-bobbin".
