Fort Collins Police Getting Ready For Super Bowl Sunday
Police said they are using technology in ways they couldnt before. Theyve been using Twitter to warn people to be safe while celebrating. Theyve also created a text chain to alert business owners and managers of situations and have been tweeting messages that encourage good behavior.
Got Super Bowl plans? Demonstrate good character and good sportsmanship behaviors. Go Broncos, said one such tweet.
Creating that sort of communications tree helps greatly getting the word out, said Peart.
Authorities recommend people register their Super Bowl parties with police. That way they can get a warning first if the crowd is getting too loud.
