Guys up there you better stock up!
I recommend a case of Miller Light, a case of Shiner, 3 Digiorno pizzas and a couple boxes of thin mints (* number people in house). Also don't DARE try to move your car or truck in this! The only way you will be able to go anywhere for a week is with these-
(not recommended for underpowered Ford vehicles)

(15,378 posts)More (not all, definitely not all) of us, over a certain age, are used to snowy weather. I remember going to school in the middle of a snowstorm when we already were passing 2 foot drifts, and for those of us in Kansas City now but grew up in small farming communities like I did, we're used to driving our crappy high schooler cars with bald tires on country roads that are essentially one big sheet of ice. Wasn't uncommon to take a sled out into the country and tie it behind a car and take turns riding it for a country mile.

(15,378 posts)For God's sake, don't be in Tulsa when it snows. All common sense gets thrown out the window. Once when we got maybe 6 inches, I waited until 11 to go into the office (worked from home) because I didn't trust Tulsa drivers. It was me and one other vehicle on a slick highway that hadn't been cleared yet. The other person tailgated me as if to say, "I'm scared and confused by all this cold, white powder. PLEASE (*whisper*) please... don't leave me alone."

(25,592 posts)I remember once, going home after working in the boondocks, pushing show with the headlights (the snow was up to the door handles). I kept myself center between the trees on both sides of the up hill, twisty road. I made it home too. I did not get stuck very often in that 1973 Quadratrac Jeep Wagoneer. That 360 V8 had the needed power.
