......There to greet him was Gov. Scott Walker, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele. U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis., flew in with Obama on Air Force One.

Walker and Barrett were twice rivals for the governor's office. On Thursday, Walker, a Republican, got a hand shake from Obama, while the president gave fellow Democrat Barrett an embrace described in the pool report as a "bro hug."

Obama then made his way to Waukesha where is expected to speak at GE's gas engines plant. You can follow update on the presidents visit on our live blog and watch his speech live later Thursday morning.

I am not saying I agree with this strategy, but I get it.

But that's how it usually goes.

to add on edit:
And if she is going after moderates, she had better get known among them. Even Walker showed up to the event, she sure could have without ruining her credibility. If she doesn't become more well-known AND differentiate herself from Walker, the moderates will either stay home or go with Walker because he is the devil you know rather than the devil you don't.

He seems like a grandstanding jerk but at least he's consistent.

It's a non-political office but it's (as we all know) a very red county and city.
