Full Resolution NOAA Mosaic Enhancement Radar Loop (Zoom-able) is mesmerizing, as well

as informative:

Looks like Atlanta, and most of Georgia got spared (click to storm total loop), but NC and SC are getting walloped, not with freezing rain I hope.

Funny how stuff like that happens sometimes =)

I am in the DFW area next to DFW Airport and looking at the developing icing situation here. Looks like an upper layer of warm air that was evaporating the precip falling above it. But that layer is moving out and the precip is now reaching the ground. Temp is at 30° and freezing rain.
