I hear this from so many Rethugs, "Obama is the worst President in history"

But none of them give any concrete or factual proof that he is. What makes someone the worst President in US history?
I can think of a million things but nothing I saw Obama do or say makes him that. He's not perfect but who the hell is?

they make up shit as a means to hanging surrogate epithets on him - most notably 'furriner' (born in Kenya, yunno), 'socialist' (although that one is hard to understand, considering the number of Wall Street muckity-mucks he's had as advisors) and 'Mooslim' (it's right there in his name, yunno). I smile to myself as I imagine conservatives using every ounce of self-control to refrain from actually admitting that's the reason, knowing that they don't hesitate to grouse among themselves in private. Speaking of which...I'm still waiting for the day when one of them - higher-level the better - drops the n-word in front of an ostensibly 'dead' microphone.

Of all the anti-Obama people in my life ( work/play/family ) they are all narrow ignorant imbeciles by nature; politics aside. They use "angry drunk logic"...that is, whatever gut instinct rage du-jour makes them feel good in venting.

In the grand scheme of things, they don't add up to a mound of monkey shit, other than their ballot box habits.

They don't have well though out responses, just accusations that wouldn't apply (in their minds) to a President with white skin.

There used to be a video floating around the web, where an amateur journalist asks tea party rally attendees for specific examples of what they are protesting. None were able to give answers that reflected reality.

It has become fact to them, not even a belief but a fact to them.

They starting saying it the day he was inaugurated. The "Tea Party movement" made into a thing-to-do and we Americans we do almost anything if it is a thing-to-do.

When I hear the extremely ignorant saying that, I remind them that Pres. Obama didn't kill 4,000-plus other peoples children (middle class and poor mostly) and wreck the economy like Bush and his repbuglicans. It is especially nice when the said moron is unemployed. It does hit home and they never have a reply.

... in history. Like their gibbering invective constitutes fact.

I often do not agree with this administration's policies. But he will be seen as an effective President, and one that -- look out -- enacted some positive "change." The ACA, improvements in gay rights at the federal level, the end of Iraq.

They're outraged because they weren't able to stuff him like they thought. Twice-elected, handily. Significant forward motion on health care reform. A more credible voice in the world community. A rejection of stupidity and belligerence as America's main public attributes. That great wave of "buyer's remorse" never materialized except inside their own minds.

And part of his legacy may also be the implosion of the Republican Party. They were so horrendous in their monolithic opposition, so juvenile in their sly racial dog-whistling. So impotent and destructive in their extortionate rage. They are now flailing about in a small, smelly box of their own construction.

they're broken... they cannot accept a president that is not white. I saw a comment recently on a Forbes.com article. The Contributor, Rick Ungar, had information on who was the lowest spender as our President. Pres. Obama was one of the lowest, if not THE lowest, But still the attacks took off in the comment section.

And the one comment that stuck with me was from a right winger who said "the Obama family are living like they won the lottery." I've heard this one before. It's a racist comment... just as the "worst President in history" comment. They may not even realize it, but they see him as less worthy, his family as opportunists that do not deserve vacations, or nice clothes, while his republican predecessors spent WAY more time on vacation, and on frills.

21. Obama Derangement Syndrome...
Sun Feb 23, 2014, 02:04 PM
Feb 2014

I don't necessarily recommend this practice, but every now and again I go through the comments sections of Tea Party-related sites. Afterwards, I shower with bleach and turpentine.

These whack-jobs think that Obama should be impeached and tried for treason because of the Affordable Care Act. Now just ponder that one for a minute. A law passed by both houses of Congress, signed by the President, and upheld by the Supreme Court should be fodder for not only impeachment (high crime and misdemeanors) but a charge of treason (giving aid and comfort to our enemies in wartime).

All that from a health insurance program?

Life is too short. Don't waste your time trying to arguing with people because they are, quite honestly, a pack of arm-waving lunatics. These people are your dumb-ass uncle who used to be confined to saying stunningly inappropriate things at the dinner table around the holidays. Now thanks to the internet and talk radio, they have their own political party -- The Party Formerly Known As Republican.

They're not going to go away. They're never going to go away.

Talk to your sensible family and friends. And when election time comes around -- and I mean EVERY election time -- make sure that both you and they get out to vote. We're a majority, but when we don't show up, these people win. And they can do real damage when they do.

no matter on which side of the political spectrum you fall. It seems that the direction of major policy....the police state, the surveillance state, economic policy, privatization...does not change much anymore no matter which party is in power.

But it is in the interest of the corporate propaganda to rile up each side with the language of extremes....teach Republicans to rant that Democrats are the WORST PEOPLE ON EARTH, and vice versa, so that we will vilify the other side......but more importantly, defend our side. In other words, so that we will defend the very same malignant policies under Obama that we decried but Republicans defended under Bush. And so that no matter which party takes the reins and escalates the corporate predatory agenda next, its "team" can be counted upon to defend it, too.

This is how the propaganda machine tries to ensure that half of voters will always rally around and enable the continuation of predatory corporate/police state policies, no matter which party is in power expanding them.

This is a propaganda tactic. Instead of taking the bait to engage in the Two Minutes Hate and circle the wagons around disastrous policy, we should focus on the policy agenda itself and unite as the 99 percent to demand a stop to the corporate policies that are destroying America.

and haven't increased the police state or surveillance state. Ditto economic policy. Privatization...that's laughable. Obama's economic policy is the same as Bush's? Really, now.

It seems the only propaganda is yours. You're the one trying to create a false reality where Bush and Obama are one in the same.
