Uh oh,Newark Archbishop's pricey retirement home spurs backlash as parishioners withhold donations!

Joe Ferri, 70, stands outside his parish, St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield. Ferri says he will no longer contribute to the Archdiocese of Newark.

Tom Reeder, 48, stands at a work site on the roof of a Jersey City building. Reeder, who owns a company that installs sheet metal, has curtailed his contributions to the church.

A satellite image of Archbishop Myers' weekend residence in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County. The image does not show the three-story addition now under construction.

But it's not quite roomy enough for Newark Archbishop John Myers.

The German bishop's residence is now used as a soup kitchen for the poor or some other purpose to serve the poor.

I don't think Pope Francis will be happy with this guy in Newark. He may take a similar tack with this guy.
