What about differences stopping at the borders?

(I personally disagreed with this approach then and I do now. I think the President is fair game for criticism whenever and where ever, even if it is incorrect. All this unity bullshit is for the birds. If he's wrong, he's wrong and we should say so. But I do think the Republicans are absolutely delusional on this issue).

I'm just enjoying pointing out the hypocrisy of Republicans. I don't think Obama is necessarily correct here, not do I think he is particularly wrong. I don't think we need to be in lockstep. I just don't believe in unity at all costs.

ethe GOP has never seen a war it did not like and wanted to get involved in . We have enough problems here at home , lets get working on those , and let other countries solve their OWN problems .

I guess the whole world is "weak," compared with Putin. This issue began over a tug of war between the European Union and Russia over financial ties to Ukraine. How all of a sudden is the US the central figure in this contretemps?

its a "red meat" phrase to the rabid right, but it keeps presidents pressured into military action.
Reminds me of a picture that my Tae Kwon Do instructor kept in his studio, it was a Norman Rockwell print with a farmer holding a small bird he had found in the field and the quote was "there is nothing so strong as gentleness, and nothing so gentle as real strength".
I learned there 2 confident people have nothing to fight over. Its the scared people you have to watch out for.

Also reminds me of Lincoln's quote "don't I also destroy my enemy when I make him my friend".

I've never been so appalled as when the republicans tried to make "diplomacy" a bad word and when they criticize a public official for daring to shake hands with someone they don't approve of.

It's such a silly notion that always pops up whenever any country does anything in their own interest or benefit. It's not even limited to just military moves either, but if even if a country does something like launch astronauts into space or sends a rover to the moon. Somehow those get warped into being about how the US is either weak or a failure.

just Obama's. Still waiting for a Fox type or two to blame Obamacare specifically, but they'll take what they can pull out of their rancid behinds.

The OP is right on the money, too. You can bet that if Obama ordered immediate military intervention (not in a million years), the assholes would find another reason to cry bloody murder. Probably something to do with Obamacare.

with the US into account before he invaded. He may also have taken US dependance on Russia for peace talks in Syria and anti nuke talks with Iran into account when he attacked. What do you mean we can‘t talk about US power and how it is projected around the world in this discussion forum? On this issue?
