There is a lone single thread, buried in the Crime section, with Zero replies.
I am surprised there is no interest, since this case involves several hot button issues for the U.S.
Guns, Domestic Violence, Self Defense.
I think he's 110% Guilty, but he'll probably walk. South Africa does not sound like they have their act together, and the judicial system probably functions as well as Florida's.
I don't think I'll be visiting South Africa anytime soon. It sounds like a pretty violent place, and it is obvious that this violence will be used as Oscar's only defense, claiming he lived in fear and terror of being victimized, even inside his secure, gated estate complex.

(34,648 posts)I think he knew what he was doing when he pulled the trigger. The first thing I would do if I heard a noise would be to call out my husbands name. Then I'd tell him to answer cause I have the gun and I don't want to shoot my boo.
I'm so tired of the I was in fear for my life against an unarmed person who never laid a hand on me excuse.
