New Name-The Port Authority of NY, NJ, Wolff & Samson....

The PANYNJWS...has a nice ring to it! Also more honest about what the organization is all about. The NY Times published a very nice summary of items, some new, revealing just how deep the influence of Samson goes and how he has manipulated his position as the chairman of the Authority to the financial benefit of his firm and his clients. The man is quite industrious. Apointee profits-Christie gains power, what a great arrangement.

In Job, Appointee Profits and Christie Gains Power

A comprehensive examination of Mr. Samson’s dealings with Governor Christie and his administration, both inside the Port Authority and out, shows the extent to which their ambitions and successes became intertwined. Mr. Samson and his law firm benefited financially. Mr. Christie benefited politically. And each enhanced the other’s stature as their relationship deepened in ways that were not apparent at the time.

Mr. Samson has had a long career at the nexus of law and politics in New Jersey. But since Mr. Christie took office in 2010, his firm, Wolff & Samson, has risen to become one of the biggest bond counsel firms in the state, advising scores of private clients and state agencies, and jumped up in rankings of the state’s biggest lobbying firms.

The efforts of the two men became increasingly bold as Mr. Christie’s national profile increased and Mr. Samson became a central figure in the region’s construction field.

reading this article made me physically agitated. You can read it here if you wish: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/04/nyregion/in-job-appointee-profits-and-christie-gains-power.html?ref=nyregion, but be forewarned, its incredibly depressing. I've reached a point where I'm ready to just give it up. The depth of corruption is stunning but nobody seems to care.

I think we're already funding his defense! I was going to say just give the toll collectors guns so they can rob you every time you go through, but it seems they already have people with guns there!

in Berkley Township today. He was greeted by a group of protesters. One of them held up this sign:

About 20 people holding signs stood in the snow at the entrance to Holiday City Clubhouse No. 2 in Berkeley Township. Hernandez’s sign read: “Roses are red. Violets are blue. Samson resign. And Christie should, too.” He was referring to David Samson, a close Christie adviser and chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, who has been accused of using his public position to enhance his law firm, Wolff & Samson.
