Here's a quote from a Russian from elsewhere on the net

In a place mostly used for discussion and commentary about an online game:

I don't know where and how to scream to be heard, but I can't remain silent anymore. I want to specify my position about situation at Ukraine.
Personally I strongly disapprove behavior of my government. I disapprove that Russia have covered Yanukovich, I disapprove that Russia offered former “Berkut” members Russian citizenship, and of course I disapprove the deployment of Russian troops to Ukraine.
I'm ashamed for my country. Forgive me.

I know how him and the other Russians feel. We've been through this as well.

1. Russian liberals do not support Putin's thuggery.

Nor do authentic American liberals.

3. Voronezh

Another urban area in western Russia that I'm sure has a significant anti-Putin movement.

8. It's good to hear that Russians are opposed to what is going on

But yet I have to skeptically wonder how much it will matter. Most of us at DU opposed the war in Iraq and yet it was still waged (to be clear I was not on DU at the time and was a lurker between 2006-2008). The sad thing is that if Putin wants to invade, he will. There's not a hell of a lot anyone can do to stop him.

9. You can find dozens upon dozens of comments like these on Reddit.

In both Russian and English and Ukrainian (including ethnic Russia and and ethnic Ukrainians).

Since some 70+ Russians are against Putin's invasion, it's clear and cut that his actions are against the wishes of Russians.
