McCain and Dole Scorch Cruz for CPAC Comments

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day...

http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/cpac/mccain-dole-scorch-cruz-cpac-comments-n47126

John McCain says that Ted Cruz owes Bob Dole an apology, and Dole says Cruz should "check my voting record."

Appearing on Andrea Mitchell Reports on Friday, the Arizona Republican said that Cruz unfairly described Dole as one of several past presidential candidates who failed to “stand for principle” during a speech Thursday at the CPAC convention....

McCain said he and Romney can take the criticism but that Cruz "crossed a line" by dinging Dole.

“He can say what he wants to about me, he can say anything he wants to about Mitt. Mitt can take it,” McCain told NBC’s Andrea Mitchell of Cruz. “But when he throws Bob Dole in there, I wonder if he thinks that Bob Dole stood for principle on a hilltop in Italy when he was so gravely wounded and left part of his body there fighting for our country.”

Actually, McLoser is one of a handful of Senate repukes who have any right to bloviate about Bob Dole's war record. Almost all the rest of them walked right past him onto the Senate floor in December 2012 to vote against ratifying the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, against his express wishes. Even Moran and Roberts from Kansas.

Dole was sitting there in his wheelchair while the vote was going on and the GOPers still slapped him in the face.

It was quite a scene

He's old, he's sick, and he's a veteran. But then, Cruz has a history of attacking veterans, though he could not have been bothered to ever pick up a rifle for this country himself. Maybe because he's a foreigner, but still.

Carnival Cruz does not understand that people such as himself are unelectable to the Whitehouse.
We were at peace in 96' and the economy was booming. There was little chance of Clinton losing that year.

Reagan saw this coming.

Twist every topic upside down into Bizarro World territory where every vile vice is a virtue and every virtue is abhorrent.

Then Newt comes out with his "word list" and sought out and promoted the fruits of Limbaugh and hand picked those who are not just spouting this stuff but are actually true believers and ran them for office using negative campaigns.

They were taught that ideas and policy don't matter. Attacking your opponent is how you win.

Then "Do not attack a fellow Republican" went out the window and here I am:

Watching a bunch of idiotic assholes tear into each other over who is a bigger asshole.
