Detroit Police officer charged with sexually assaulting woman while responding to 911 call

A Detroit police officer has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman while responding to a call about domestic violence, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office announced today.

Officer Deon Nunlee, 40, has been charged with three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count each of assault with intent to penetrate and misconduct in office in connection with the Oct. 30 assault on a 31-year-old woman, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Prosecutors said Nunlee and his partner were dispatched early on Oct. 30 to a domestic violence run on the 16000 block of Asbury, where the woman said she had been assaulted by her boyfriend.
