Weve got to make it clear that if you pass amnesty youre going on to the death squad," Coulter tells CPACJOSH EIDELSON
Conservatives should make it clear to Republicans that if they pass amnesty, theyre going on to the death squad with the people who wrecked America, provocateur/ columnist Ann Coulter told CPAC Saturday.
That comment, which drew laughter and applause, came at the end of a debate with Daily Caller columnist Mickey Kaus, held as a tribute to Firing Line, William F. Buckleys three-decade TV show. It featured swipes from Coulter at yuppies (in L.A., they have gardeners even when they dont have gardens); undocumented immigrants (people who crossing the border illegally in the back of trucks marked, you know, pico de gallo, hiding in barrels, running from the border guard its not like they didnt know what they were doing was wrong); Marco Rubio (all my life Ive heard Republicans hate black people Ive never seen any evidence of it until I read Marco Rubios amnesty bill); and the poor (its a cruel and Selfish thing for the upper classes to refuse to tell poor people keep your knees together before youre married that would solve so many of lifes problems.)
Kaus, designated as the debates liberal, frequently agreed with Coulter, but drew his greatest applause when he said that his side would lose the 2014 elections.
Coulter was among Mitt Romneys most enthusiastic high-profile right-wing supporters in the 2012 campaign. That year Coulter told Sean Hannity that she had told Romney at a fundraiser you owe me and you better be as right-wing a president as Im telling everybody youre going to be, and that Romney acknowledged the point and said something to the effect, Dont worry.

Or because of newer immigrants? Yeah I'm sure they are thinking, in the back of the truck, about how they are "wronging" some white middle class idiots like Annthrax.

(9,117 posts)IMO, Cousin Annie's anti-Hispanic bigotry is a legacy from her father, who spent a large part of his career fighting unions in southern Arizona and southern New Mexico (a lot of those workers were Hispanics, don't ya know). Cousin Annie probably thinks that her Hispanic-bashing is carrying on the family tradition.
She didn't get that tradition from MY side of the family.

On the off-chance that Cousin Annie or some of her partisans finds this post, she needs only ponder the number of Boosh cousins who stepped forward in 2000 and 2004 to advocate voting for somebody else.
You can't pick your blood-kin, but you CAN pick your friends.

One could only hope.

Looks like Romney was right....there was no need for Ann to worry about what kind of President he would be.

The thread I read just before this one was about unneutered dogs at a dog park, and the resulting unintended pregnancy of the female dog. Not being a dog person, it always takes me a moment to remember that female dogs are called bitches. The word was used often enough in that thread that it was excellent peparation for reading this one about Coulter.

(17,621 posts)If the poor stopped having kids, soon there would be no one to serve the "upper classes" -- and no one to fight like starving rats over those minimum-wage shitjobs.
There is historical precedent for this. The plague broke the feudal system in England. It caused a labor shortage so bad that there are stories of erstwhile lords and ladies working their land themselves because there were not enough workers to be had, and surviving serfs could not be stopped from going elsewhere in search of better wages.
