Cuba Condemns Attempts By Western Countries To Destabilize And Overthrow Gov't Of Venezuela, Ukraine

Cuba on Thursday condemned the attempts by some foreign countries to destabilize and overthrow the governments of Venezuela and Ukraine.

Speaking at a press conference, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez expressed his country's "invariable and total solidarity" with Venezuela and its constitutional president, Nicolas Maduro.

The minister also denounced foreign attempts of interference in Venezuela, particularly a recent resolution passed by U.S. Congress that backs a proposal by Panama to ask the Organization of American States (OAS) to mediate the Venezuelan crisis.

Following Panama's call for an OAS meeting on the Venezuelan situation, Maduro on Wednesday announced his decision to break diplomatic and trade ties with Panama, saying the proposal amounted to an open conspiracy of intervention.

Meanwhile, Rodriguez also condemned what he called "the hypocrisy, the double standards and the aggression" of Washington and NATO over the ouster of the pro-Russian government in Ukraine.

"We cannot accept the violent overthrow of a constitutional government, at the cost of dozens of deaths and injuries, through the intervention of the United States and several NATO allies," said Rodriguez.

Cuba is spouting total horseshit to try to prop up a big failure.

Venezuela is in big trouble, not due to any "outside agitators" like the Maduro phanbois claim.

Maduro is simply a big screwup.

I remember back in the mid to late 70's, there were leftist and liberal groups who supported this guy simply because he was anti-Shah of Iran.

A guy named the Ayatollah Khomeni.

Cuba joined in the praise of Khomeni.

I was leery of the guy since he was a fundy, and made it abundantly clear what he planned to do If he acquired any real power in Iran.

And...

The rest, as they say, is history...

It is easier than searching the major US media outlets for pretty logical musings about our involvement. The Dems who had their ass publicly handed to them in vote fraud and a stolen election(Kerry, lest we forget) drooled over overthrowing Ukraine's election results, revealing quite openly that it has been a pet government project that transcends both irony and pretext.

This outlet is reporting a Cuban opinion. Our outlets are concerned with reporting how Cubans are training in Venezuela and would collapse without oil which might sound like fandom over the usual CIA psy-ops to a discerning ear.

But the trolling establishment teams(who teams up on DU with such immediacy anyway?) need not worry. We neither have the ear of the public nor access to any form of legal accountability in any of these matters. Whether the CIA has an active role other than impotently rubbing its hands in glee is a matter of speculation. Even looking for the probable is suppressed. In past, at times, the US has made the cracks it sent its hidden resources into. Getting the masses to democratically fall into place is a nuanced gimmickry of the American ideal. Giving them actual democracy is not a planned result.

I am ready for the shocking news that despite the shocking revelations of "past" US policy we are pure and hands off currently. Stun me with our virtue, please. As far as I can remember our secret crimes and adamant policies have always turned out more criminal, even horrific as they came into the open. And a lot dumber and venal in practice too.

Some critical voices are wrong, misinformed, have negative agendas, settle for conspiracy mongering. The worst you can say about genuine, rational suppositions is they don't have enough hard proof. These discussions are suppressed enough in our slanted MSM. Unless it's astrology or Alex Jones I think we can listen to what other concerned nations are saying, even if they too are impure.
