I stumbled on this the other day, it's a live webcam view of a Bald Eagle nest on the Berry College campus in Rome, Georgia. Their chick hatched on Feb 22, making it about 2 1/2 weeks old right now.

(54,770 posts)I'm surprised they get that close to human activity (college) since there is plenty of wilderness in that area. Maybe they figure they won't get shot by some yahoo "hunter" if they live near a college campus.
Update: Kid just moved, looks strong.

(54,770 posts)and tree is moving around. The eagles' feathers are blowing. I'm amazed at what good resolution the camera is getting.
Dang, I'm gonna get fired for watching this stuff when I should be working.
