Let's sink Jolly! I really hate all these close races in Florida. This might be a nail biter.

I think there is a mandatory recount if she is within .05 percent.

This is very depressing. We can't win a darn simple special election? Hopefully this will wake everyone up! I don't know what it is going to take to get Democrats to the voting booths. Heck they didn't even have to go to the booths. They could just mail in the ballot. I am so upset only because I fear November so much. We have to be energized. I know that most of us are not in the district today so we have to rely on those that are there. I live in Maryland which is practically a Democratic state but I know that Florida is a leaning Democratic state but still has hues of red.

It makes me anxious especially because the stupid Repuglicons will say "see nobody wants Affordable Care act"…..Plus this election is only until November so it would be nice to have Sink be in the incumbent in November.

She SHOULD have won, I guarantee you that UNLESS We get better turn-outs... we are DEAD!! She had ENOUGH money in the game on this one, so can't say it was only money. I think she actually OUT SPENT Jolly! I know this area very well, use to live there before I moved further south to a SUPER RED county! Don't think this place will EVER elect a Dem, no matter what!

Repukes will vote for a snake in the grass, they DO NOT care about "issues" they only care if there is an (R) is behind the name! They need not know ANYTHING else and you can take that to the bank with you. Corrupt banks at that!

212 of 225. Sink 46.6%, Jolly 48.4%. Results include absentee and early voting. Doesn't include late mail in and challenge votes. Not sure theres enough votes in 13 precincts to rally, but keeping fi.gers crossed.

Not counted is one remaining precinct, overseas absentee, and challenged votes. 10 days to count them, but theres not going to be enough.

224/225 precincts reporting, she's down by 3251 votes. They aren't there in one remaining precinct and overseas mailins. Margin was about 2%...too great for automatic recount. She was strongest candidate Dems could have run... Obama took the district narrowly both times. Dems have to do better GOTV in off-year elections.

I contributed money to the Sink effort, that contribution seems to have meant nothing to democratic fundraisers. I suspect that the Congressional Democratic organization is using fund-raising companies that really don't give a shit about anything but getting more money out of loyal Democrats. I want to see the fucking money that I contribute go toward funding GOTV efforts every single day, and not have a large amount of it go into the pockets of shysters. I am frustrated with the commitment and dedication to fucking hard campaign work that I see coming from the Congressional and Senatorial Democratic campaign organizations, they seem to be convinced that it's all about getting more money from loyal Democrats - it isn't, understanding target voters and getting them out on election day is what counts.

And lots of mailers and door tags... LOTS. Outside of kidnapping voters and forcibly dragging them to polls I dont know what more could be done. Im pretty sure turnout was low... voters here dont bother unless its a presidential election year. I hope Crist does better.

I hope that we can figure out the impact of the announced changes on Medicare part D (so unpopular that the Wh cancelled them today).

Also what was the vote among Hispanic voters (who are apparently mad at the WH). They did not vote for the GOP, but if they stayed home, it may have had an impact.

No pollsters at my precinct. Not a big hispanic community in the district, and the legislature carved out the AA community in south county and added it to Tampa during last redistricting.

Chris Hayes Show just said so, no other comment about ANY other votes to count!

Well, I'm pissed and I think there's much more to come. Already too full of anxiety and this is just NUMBER ONE!

Wonder if she'll ever run for anything again... always seems DEFEAT! OMG, not sure I can take it.
