The search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 is being compared to a quest for a needle in a haystack. Is it really that tough to find a 210-foot-long plane? You be the judge.

(135,425 posts)tonight, in the S. China sea about where that thing might have gone down. Right size/shape, it looked to be, too...of course, I'm sure they do what we do when we release a picture...mess it up so it doesn't look as clear as it actually is.
This is the oddest mystery.

(16,199 posts)Most of the plane will have disintegrated from impact and sunk to the bottom. You typically only find small debris floating on the surface.
